  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 small head green cabbage chopped (about 6 cups)
  • 1 can 14.5 oz diced tomatoes (with juice)
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes optional, for heat
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese optional, for topping
  • Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

  3. Stir in diced onion and garlic, cooking until softened, about 2–3 minutes.
  4. Add chopped cabbage, diced tomatoes (with juice), tomato paste, paprika, oregano, chili flakes, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  5. Reduce heat to medium, cover, and cook for 12–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cabbage is tender and flavors are well combined.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  7. Optional: Sprinkle shredded cheese over the skillet, cover for 2 minutes to melt.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
