Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
Rinse and trim the ends of the green beans.
In a mixing bowl, combine the green beans, olive oil, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and brown sugar (if using).
Take 4-5 green beans and wrap them with a slice of bacon, securing the ends with toothpicks if necessary.
Place the bundles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Sprinkle any remaining olive oil and seasoning over the bundles.
Bake for about 25–30 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the green beans are tender.
Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
