  • 4 ripe pears
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Pinch of salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the pears by peeling and halving them, removing the core.
  3. In an oven-safe dish, combine the brown sugar, cinnamon, butter, lemon juice, and salt.
  4. Arrange the pear halves cut-side down in the dish, then spoon the sugar mixture over them.
  5. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes until the pears are tender.
