Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds large shrimp shell-on
  • 1 pound smoked sausage sliced
  • 4 ears corn cut into thirds
  • 1.5 pounds new potatoes halved
  • 1/4 cup seafood boil seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 lemon halved
  • Water enough to cover all ingredients

Method
 

  1. Prepare the ingredients by rinsing the shrimp and cutting the corn and potatoes.
  2. Fill a large pot with water and add salt, seafood seasoning, and halved lemon.
  3. Bring the pot to a rolling boil over high heat.
  4. Add the potatoes and cook for 10 minutes.
  5. Add the sausage and corn, cooking for an additional 5 minutes.
  6. Finally, add the shrimp and cook until they turn pink, about 3-4 minutes.
  7. Turn off the heat and let the pot sit for 5 minutes for flavors to meld.
  8. Carefully drain the shrimp boil into a colander and transfer to a large platter.
  9. Serve with additional lemon wedges and dipping sauces, if desired.
