Elegant Shrimp Tree with Cheddar and Tomatoes

Shrimp Tree with breaded shrimp, cheddar cubes, and tomatoes made approachable with clear cues, pantry staples, and flexible swaps.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs beaten
  • 8 ounces cheddar cheese cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 pint cherry tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the shrimp by seasoning them with salt and pepper.
  3. Set up a breading station: place the beaten eggs in one bowl and the breadcrumbs in another.
  4. Dip each shrimp into the beaten eggs, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  5. Arrange the breaded shrimp on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.
  6. Bake the shrimp in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. While the shrimp are baking, prepare the Shrimp Tree structure using a platter.
  8. Once the shrimp are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly.
  9. Begin assembling your Shrimp Tree by placing the shrimp at the base of the platter.
  10. Add cheddar cubes and cherry tomatoes between the shrimp layers for color and flavor.
  11. Once assembled, serve your Shrimp Tree immediately and enjoy!
