  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour and baking soda.
  3. In a large bowl, cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, mixing until fully combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips gently, ensuring even distribution.
  7. Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes for better shaping.
  8. Roll the dough out on a floured surface and cut out heart shapes.
  9. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 10–12 minutes.
  10. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
