In another bowl, whisk the eggs, melted butter, pumpkin puree, and pumpkin spice until smooth.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
In a separate bowl, blend softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth.
Spread the cream cheese mixture over the first layer of cake batter.
Top with the remaining batter, spreading gently.
Bake for 45-50 minutes until the edges are set but the center is still slightly jiggly.
Allow the cake to cool before slicing.
