Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup salted caramel sauce

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, beat together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
  5. Mix in the softened cream cheese until well combined.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients until just combined.
  7. Fold in half of the salted caramel sauce gently into the dough.
  8. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  10. Remove from the oven and let cool for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
  11. Drizzle remaining salted caramel sauce over the cookies before serving.
