Ingredients
  

  • 1 ½ pounds Brussels sprouts
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the Brussels sprouts by trimming the ends and removing any discolored leaves.
  3. Cut the Brussels sprouts in half, lengthwise.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the halved Brussels sprouts with olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper.
  5. Spread the seasoned Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  6. Roast in the preheated oven for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown and tender.
  7. Sprinkle grated Parmesan over the sprouts in the last 5 minutes of roasting.
  8. If using balsamic vinegar, drizzle it over the sprouts before serving.
  9. Serve immediately while still warm, garnished with additional Parmesan if desired.
