Ingredients
  

  • 2 ribeye steaks 1-inch thick
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 medium onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Method
 

  1. Season the steaks liberally with salt and black pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the steaks to the skillet and cook for 4-5 minutes per side.
  4. Remove the steaks from the skillet and set aside.
  5. Add chopped onions to the skillet and sauté until translucent.
  6. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  7. Sprinkle the flour over the onion and garlic mixture, stirring well.
  8. Slowly add the beef broth while whisking continuously.
  9. Add Worcestershire sauce and bring the mixture to a simmer.
  10. Reduce heat and let the gravy simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  11. Finish the gravy with butter for a shiny finish.
  12. Serve the steak with the gravy spooned on top.
