Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound Brussels sprouts trimmed and halved
  • 4 slices of bacon chopped
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Method
 

  1. Cook the bacon until crispy in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Remove the bacon and drain on paper towels, reserving the fat in the skillet.
  3. Add olive oil and the halved Brussels sprouts to the skillet, cut side down.
  4. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
  5. Drizzle in the maple syrup and season with salt and pepper; stir to combine.
  6. Return the crispy bacon to the pan, and toss everything together to combine.
  7. Cook for another 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld, then serve warm.
